SJS Sheeting Ltd was contracted to remove and dispose of the existing roof sheets, Trimline gutter and purlins in Widnes, near Liverpool. This work was particularly challenging near the River Mersey. Additional care had to be taken in assessing the conditions to ensure the safety of the team at all times.
We then supplied and installed new Tata composite roof panels and rainwater goods with associated flashings.
In addition to replacing the roofing system, we were also contracted to design, supply, and install a non-load-bearing internal partition wall that required a fire resistance of 2 hours. We utilised Euroclad Firemaster Extra 150mm panels to achieve this fire resistance.
Euroclad Group conducted inspections to ensure compliance with the manufacturer’s technical specifications.
This was a restricted site, which required additional health and safety measures and control procedures due to existing hazards on site. To reduce the risk to our site team, as well as the installation crew and management, they needed to wear flame-retardant overalls. Electronic devices were forbidden within the work zone, and although this limited our contact with the site, the project was still completed successfully despite its challenges.
SJS Sheeting Ltd were praised for their diligence and collaborative approach to the works on this contract.
Cameras were prohibited on this contract; therefore, no site photos are available.
