SJS Sheeting Limited was contracted to complete the roofing and cladding works on a new Lidl store in Berwick Green, Bristol.
This was a bespoke store that varied from the standard Lidl design. Unlike the fully cladded design, the store had a feature masonry parapet, which required a cladding solution to the internal face and a large, insulated membrane gutter to the rear elevation.
The wall cladding was timber, for which we were contracted to install a composite PIR panel to the rear to achieve the required U-values.
Communication was key in ensuring that the information flow between ourselves, the main contractor, and the other trades was current, correct, and project-focused.
This project was aesthetically impressive; however, servicing the requirements presented its own challenges, which we overcame seamlessly by collaborating with the Main Contractor, who is a returning client.
We were also contracted to provide the GRP weathering to the roof and wall penetrations for the project.
The dialogue between our team and the Lidl GB Surveyors was prompt, ensuring a speedy completion of the roofing and cladding element of the works.
