We were invited to propose a refurbishment solution for a returning Main Contractor, at Metallisation in Dudley – our initial contract scope was to overclad the existing walls due to dilapidation, and replace guttering.
The works were challenging – working on a live building, along with restricted access to the rear elevation of the unit, as always, we overcame these issues with a collaborative and proactive approach with the Main Contractor and client. The client was impressed with our team's skill and quality, which led to additional work internally in the building, further to the existing scope.
We overclad the existing walls with a bar and bracket system and 0.5mm wall sheets. We also replaced the loading door wall panels with sargasso blue sheets, along with the necessary flashings and trims. Guttering was removed and replaced, and new liners were installed in the internal walls of the unit – upgrading the working environment for the client's employees.
